Tribe of Individuals

        We are a tribe of individuals. We are individuals who sit on our lazy butts all day communicating with other people instead of face to face. We stay at home and talk instead of as a community gathering to talk and work out problems. You may be talking over the internet with who you think you are in love with when actually they are not. You may think they are really cute when in reality they are not so cute. That's a problem with us being individuals. We don't use face to face interaction as much as we use to and that's taking a tole on our culture and communities.

          We are a tribe by being connected one way or another. You have groups (friends) on FaceBook, Instagram, and twitter your connected to all of the people in your group. If you like a tv show and you post it on twitter or something someone from India could see it then you could become friends with them and add them to your "tribe." Your tribe is basically your group. 

            We are a tribe of individuals by being connected through social media instead of face to face interaction. You can sit at home on your couch and talk to a group of your friends instead of all gathering in one spot to talk.

              Some positives are that you can save gas so then you don't have to drive to your friends house to talk and you can connect with more people. It's not as hard. There are some negatives though. It is very dangerous. You may think it's someone when it really isn't. Plus you begin to become lazy and addicted to what ever you do on social media. For example me, I am addicted to Instagram. I am always on it. Sometimes that pries me from hanging with my friends because I just zone out on it.

                I think it's going to lead to a very bad future. We are all going to become lazy and are going to be two faced. It will really mess up our future. That's just my option you all may have a different opion but that's mine.

            Mail. Mail is a wonerful way to communicate with other people. You can send text, video, or pictures to who ever you like as long as you have their email address. Mail has been around for a long time. You can send physical mail through the post office or you can send it through the internet. Which ever way you use you still can get a message to someone.
            Mail is a very useful tool. It allows you to get something very important to someone in a quick way. Back when George Washington was president people used mail to get important messages to him while they were in battle. Mail has come a long way since then. So has society. Now you just go on to what ever account you got (ex. yahoo, google, msn....) and send something to someone through space and onto their computer at home.
             Mail can be a bad thing too. If you use the physical way you can send someone a bomb or if you have ever seen a crime show on tv you somethimes see the physco send the family of the victum a finger or an ear. You NEVER know whats in that box. So we need to be safe and be aware that if you get something in the mail from someone you don't know, DON'T OPEN IT!!!!!!!!
           

  So, there are good things and bad things about mail but it is still a way to socialize with other people and to get gifts or something to them.

         The power of networks is effecting our culture. We use to have to go to each others house to tell them something or show them something. Now its only two clicks away.
          Facebook has changed the way we interact on line.  On facebook you can show pictures, where you are going, and comment on other peoples profiles. It is a way to stay in contact with people you have met along the road of life. Facebook is a way to connect people from across the world. You can be friends with someone India that you don't know. Facebook allows people to be two faces. You can be really ugly and fat in real life and on facebook you can be all skinny and cool.
          Google, Bing, and Wikipedia are some examples of networks online. Google, Bing, and Wikipedia all have one source that branches down into little things. Like google and bing have websites that are used to produce information. Wikipedia is used for finding information.

         

          Nor-Cal Elite, San Juan, and Nor-Cal Cruisers are all examples of networks offline. They are examples of networks offline because they are a network that branches down into teams. Like 10U, 12U,14U,16U, and 18U. Those are all teams that play under the names Nor-Cal Elite, San Juan, and Nor-Cal Cruisers.
          Networks are so powerful because people allow them to become powerful. The world has allowed networks to effect our culture. Networks would have only little influence if people didn't cared but sad thing is people allow networks to control their life.
